Back of the Book Blurb #67 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.  You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

Spicy Secrets

Manny had to figure out what to do next if he wanted to save Casey. Someone had slipped him a message from her in the form of a note that said she was being held captive and needed to be rescued. Then he found out it had something to do with this restaurant and he pretended to be a chef and applied for a position. Unfortunately, he faked his resume and some people were willing to fake great references. Not the head chef had gotten sick and he had to prepare all the dinners for tonight. What if they figured out he was a fake? Where was Casey and was she hurt? If the government found out what he was doing on his leave, they would not be happy. He needed to solve this before he was sent back for duty. How was he going to get this dinner cooked? (150 words)

Maybe a "customer" will send back his improperly-cooked dinner, and with it, Manny will get another message about Casey!
