She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic
for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that
might appear on the back of the book.
The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the
title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog,
and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment
on the other blurbs. You can do fancy techy things with the photo.
(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this
would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be
expected to write 150 words or less!)
Dilemma at the Zoo
Billy was meeting his new friends at the zoo. He hoped that
they didn’t get caught or he would be in so much trouble. They probably only
invited him because Billy had a selfie stick and a cell phone so he could be
the photographer. They didn’t really like him but he hoped that once they got
to know him, he would fit in with the group.
At first everyone was joking around and having fun, but when
they got to the gorilla area, the other guys started teasing him. They started
to play keep away with his phone and selfie stick. Suddenly, it fell into the
gorilla containment area! Everyone laughed and ran away. Curious, the gorilla
picked it up and started playing with.
Would Billy ever get his phone back? Would they get caught
for being there after hours? Would Billy ever fit in? (146 words)

Pat--Sadly, I don't think Billy will ever fit in, and probably his camera and selfie stick are permanently in the past tense, too.
