Back of the Book Blurb #68 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.  You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Messy Marriage

Sheila knew she shouldn’t have let her future mother-in-law organize the wedding reception. Her mother-in-law hated her and Sheila knew it. She just didn’t understand why Danny couldn’t see it. He insisted that his mother loved her and told her that letting his mother do something for the wedding would be a good thing.

Boy, was he wrong! During the ceremony, Danny’s mother cried as if someone died. During the pictures, his mom sobbed and wrung her hands.

For the reception, Danny’s mom had taken care of the wedding cake. The wedding cake was going to be a model of the bride in her wedding gown. As they got ready to cut the cake, Sheila looked up at the cake bride and realized that the bride was not her! The face was the face of Danny’s former girlfriend!

What kind of future was in store for this marriage? Read on (150 words)!

Pat--I think Sheila needs to get that marriage annulled... before she gets stuck in that marriage which has a horrible mother-in-law as part of the package deal.
