Back of the Book Blurb #11 Challenge

In Back-of-the-Book Blurb Friday # 11 from Sioux's Page, Sioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

·                The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
·                The genre is wide-open.
·                Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
·                Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
·                You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Cowboy

Anne had never met her father and was determined to talk to him face-to-face. Her mother had no idea that Anne caught a bus and traveled across country to meet him in person. When her mother told her that they were moving to Hawaii, Anne knew that this would be her only chance. She didn’t know why he left when she was a baby and never came back but she was going to find out the true story. When she arrived in Wyoming, she hitched a ride to his ranch and when the driver let her out at the gate, Anne wondered if he would know her. Of course she was fifteen now so he probably wouldn’t. In the distance she saw a hat on the fence and wondered if it was his. Join Anne as she discovers her father and what the future holds for her. (147 words)

Pat--That would be an interesting story to write as well as interesting to read. Thanks for playing with me. ;)

Now that's a REAL story. Unlike my feeble efforts, which are mainly to get ideas to write scathing fake reviews for my fake work.
