Back of the Book Blurb #53 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

On the Big Hunt
Jane knew that her father was last seen in Las Vegas. She saw the city listed on papers in her foster care folder. For the past year, she skipped lunches and saved all of her money to buy a bus ticket to Las Vegas. No one at the home would miss her because there were so many kids that no one paid any attention to her anyway. When she finally had enough money, she headed to Las Vegas. Before her mom died, she told Jane that her father was a great singer and when he became famous, he would send for them. But mom died before that happened. Now her dad wouldn’t know where to find her so she would have to go find him. She didn’t know where to begin to look but she needed to start somewhere. That is when she saw it! She knew where to start. (150 words)

Pat--This sounds like a book I would read. It has the potential to be a tear-jerker. Well done!
