Back of the Book Blurb #52 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Entrepreneurs

Bobby and Billy really wanted a pet dog! They begged their parents for one but was told that they just couldn’t afford one.

One summer, they came across this huge dog without a collar so they decided to call him Scooby Doo. Every day Scooby would be there waiting for them and they would sneak food scraps to him.

As school time soon approached, the boys knew they had to do something to raise money so they could bring Scooby home. They went in their attic and found two accordions and decided they would play them on the street downtown to raise money.

They didn’t really know how to play a real song, but people thought they were so cute, that they would leave big bills for them. Before long, they had enough money to bring Scooby home and their parents wouldn’t be able to say no. (147 words)

Pat--That's a cute story. If I walked past them, I'd double-back and drop some bills in their hat or bucket, since it's such a good cause. Thanks for playing along.
