From Sioux's Page, Sioux offers this challenge.
She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a
book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might
appear on the back of the book.
The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and
link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other
blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.
(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would
be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to
write 150 words or less!)
The
Bucket List
Mary had never gotten on stage before but she was tired of being
boring. Everyone who knew her thought she was quiet and plain. She decided that
she was going to reinvent herself and be more fun! She was going to do things
that were on her bucket list and singing in public was one of the things she
wanted to do. So, grabbing her guitar and taking a deep breath, she headed for
the stage. She started singing her
favorite song and was amazed when no one walked out. At the end of the song,
there was a huge applause and they were waiting for more. Now that she could
mark one thing off her list, she was encouraged to do more. Read more to find
out what other things were on her list and whether she had courage to continue
the quest. (144 words)

I'm sure she has some adrenaline-charged adventures ahead of her, since she's tired of being boring!
Pat--I get the feeling like you have really stepped out of your box and done something memorable lately. Am I right? Or are you too busy gadding about the country on one of your many trips?
@Sioux We helped my parents in FL survive Hurricane Matthew. :)
