She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.
The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs. You can do fancy techy things with the photo.
(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)
The Hoppy Parents
They searched everywhere looking for Kermit, so they could go on an airboat ride, but they couldn’t find him! Eventually, they found Kermit all alone and unconscious on the grass. At first, they thought an alligator had tried to eat him! Big Bird picked him up gently and carried him back to his room. This vacation to the Florida Everglades was turning out terrible! At first, they argued that he was dead but after he started moving around and groaning, they argued about calling a doctor. Finally, Kermit softly told them not to call the doctor. When asked what had happened, Kermit said he thought he saw his parents! No one knew the story about his parents because Kermit never talked about them. They helped Kermit sit up and he realized that it was time to tell them his story. (140 words)
