Back of the Book Blurb #44 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Castle

No one knows what goes on in the abandoned castle. People say that it is filled with ghosts and goblins. Over the years, many stories were told by youngsters who went there and ran away in fright. Usually everyone stays away from it because of these stories. It has been dark and empty for many years. But one day, the mailman was driving by and thought he saw movement in one of the window. He shook his head and dismissed it as a trick of light. Then the next day, he saw it again and decided that he would go investigate. So, the next night, after work, he went to the castle. He looked around and then went to the nearest window. He was shocked at what he saw! Read more to find out what he saw and what happened to him. (142 words)

Pat--This could be an edge-of-your-seat story. You took it off in a legitimately creepy direction. Thanks for playing along.

Ooh! I don't know who would be more scared...the mailman looking IN, or the ghosts and goblins looking OUT to see that creepy mailman in their window.
