Back of the Book Blurb #41 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Sock Brigade

Nelly was tired of everyone trying to fix her up with the man of their dreams. Why couldn’t everyone just leave her alone! She was content living with her sweet cat and knitting all day.  She didn’t think she was getting past her prime at the tender age of twenty-five but she was happy with her life. Finally, she decided she would stop all these cupids by announcing that she would pick her dream guy by his socks. They would need to be hand knit and striped with bright colors. This would tell her a lot about the man wearing them. Imagine her surprise when on the date of the decision, she found men lined up around the block and all the way into town. They couldn’t wait to show off their socks. Read more to find out who Nelly picked and why. (145 words)

Pat--Hand-knit socks... A woman who enjoys knitting... I wonder where those details came from? ;)

Thanks for playing along. You took it in a direction I had not thought of. A line of men, all wearing colorful, hand-knit socks. Very clever.
