She
posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose
the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back
of the book.
·
The blurb should be 150
words or less (not including the title).
·
The genre is wide-open.
·
Each blogger should
include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
·
Have fun with it. Go to
the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
·
You can do fancy techy
things with the photo.

if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do
with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or
less!)
Laura
hated her stepmom and stepsisters! Every day she wished that she could be a
bird and fly away. She was tired of feeling miserable all of the time. But
sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for. After a particular hard day
arguing with her stepsisters, she was punished severely by her stepmother.
Thankfully she was still allowed to go to the church get together where she was
expected to bring some refreshments this month. She dressed up in her mother’s
old red dress and headed to the church. Along the way she stopped to rest. When
she looked at the map of the area behind the glass frame, instead of the map
she saw a red cardinal. When she moved, it moved. Before long, she realized
that she wasn’t watching a bird but was looking at herself. She had turned into
a red cardinal. (148 words)

Just like the Home Alone boy, her wish backfired!
Pat--I LOVED what this photo inspired you to do. What a book this would be.
