Back of the Book Blurb #105 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.  You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Mother in Law

If Marie was excited about marrying the love of her life, why in the world was she having such a terrible time dealing with his family? More specifically, his mother, Ann!

When they talked about getting a house, Thomas’s mother thought she had a say in what kind of house they were getting. Marie worried that Ann planned on moving in with them!

When they talked about having children, Ann thought she was part of the discussion about how many children they should have. Then she proceeded to discuss what religious instruction that the children would have!

When Marie cooked dinner for Thomas, Ann thought she had to taste test everything before Thomas ate it. Ann would criticize the taste or suggest adding or leaving out spices.

Marie thought she would go crazy! Would this marriage really work, or should she run while she could? (145 words)

The marriage can work. Marie needs to smile and nod at Ann, and pretend she will abide by Ann's wishes. Then do whatever is best for herself and her (future) hubby when Ann is not around.
