Back of the Book Blurb #39 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post.
Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

Kidnapped!

Natalie thought she would be safe on this island. This senior trip on the cruise ship was turning out to be a horrendous experience. Everyone argued and no one wanted to do the same things. Couples were fighting and even breaking. She had saved her own money to go on this trip and she wanted to enjoy it so when the others were being jerks, she decided to go off on her own. The two men in the front seat weren’t even speaking to her. They locked the doors so she couldn’t even get out. Where were they taking her? Were they going to hurt her? Was she going to disappear like that other girl she read about who went missing on her senior trip? Why didn’t she listen to her parents when they told her to stay in a group? (141 words)

Pat--This story sounds like it includes a marvelous lesson: always listen to your parents (ha). Thanks for playing along. You definitely took it in a dark direction. That kind of story would keep readers engaged.

Yikes! Those men might even be part of a human-hair trafficking ring! Poor Natalie! She could be returning to the ship BALD.
