Back of the Book Blurb #75 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.  You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The First Year is the Hardest

It was just the first week and Billy was already out of control. He refused to follow directions and became very aggressive when he was frustrated. Without some intervention, this school year would be the longest of her life! This was Emily’s first year of teaching and she had such high hopes. She refused to give up or give in and was determined that she would figure out the key to unlock the door for Billy’s success. He was diagnosed with autism and Emily needed to know more. She had training in college but book learning was so different from real life. She needed to talk more with the parents to find out what they did at home to deal with these behaviors. Maybe she could talk to the administration about getting more hands-on training. She was ready to roll up her sleeves and jump in with both feet!

Kudos to Emily for not giving up, and best of luck in surviving the year!

Pat--As you well know, there are many students like this in our public schools.

Thanks for playing along.
