Back of the Book Blurb #90 Challenge

From Sioux's PageSioux offers this challenge.

She posts a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of the book.

The blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title). The genre is wide-open.
Each blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this post. Have fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.  You can do fancy techy things with the photo.

(Join in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or less!)

The Magic Shoes

Janie wanted to go to the prom so much but knew she couldn’t afford to go. Her parents worked hard enough and she couldn’t ask them for a new dress, shoes, and a ticket to the prom.
But her parents knew about the dance and she was such a good daughter that their hearts ached for her.

One day, her father Mario made a wish upon a star. Suddenly, with a loud bang, there appeared in front of him a pair of Croc shoes. Where did they come from? Beside them was a note that said to give them to Janie on the evening of the prom. All will be taken care once these were on her feet. Mario couldn’t wait to get them home and share the good news with his family.

On the evening of the prom, Janie put the shoes on her feet. Boy, did things change! (150 words)
