She posts
a picture and you need to imagine it as a graphic for a book. You choose the
genre and book title, and then write a blurb that might appear on the back of
the book.
The
blurb should be 150 words or less (not including the title).
The
genre is wide-open.
Each
blogger should include their blurb on their own blog, and link back to this
post.
Have
fun with it. Go to the other posts and comment on the other blurbs.
You can
do fancy techy things with the photo.
(Join
in if you dare...! It sounds like fun! I think this would be a lot of fun to do
with students especially since they would be expected to write 150 words or
less!)
Cows Come A Courtin’
Bessie Sue was finally at the age that she could start dating
those good looking bulls that were in the other pasture. So many of them looked
so handsome and strong. She remembered when they were all little calves and
played together. Then they were separated into different pastures. Spring was
finally here and old Farmer Joe told her that this spring was going to be a
magical year for her. When she looked over in that other pasture, she could see
the young bulls eyeing her and giving her a wink! She was so excited that she
could hardly wait until spring! But Mama Myrna has other plans! There is no way
those big bad bulls are coming anywhere near her beautiful Bessie Sue! Read
more to find out how Bessie Sue tries to get around Mama Myrna’s attempts to
thwart her courting plans! (145 words)
