Useful Information In and Out of the Classroom 12/26/08

Here are some interesting sites that I’ve found this week, thanks to my PLN. As a teacher, I feel we have to keep up to date concerning research in our field and current issues in the education system. I hope some of these inspire you, inform you, and even have you asking questions. Thank you for coming by and visiting!

StateStats – “This tool shows you how popular a Google search query is in each U.S. state”

Watermarktool.com - Watermark Tool is the free online watermarking software that allows you to quickly and easily protect your images with a visible watermark. With the many watermarking options available, you're able to personalize your images in a variety of ways - including text size, color, and position.

BrainyFlix – SAT vocab contest starting Jan. 1.

HelpKidzLearn – (Thanks to my friend Faye Valbert) “a web site full of free software and resources from Inclusive Technology.”

Piclits – “PicLits.com is a creative writing site that matches beautiful images with carefully selected keywords in order to inspire you. The object is to put the right words in the right place and the right order to capture the essence, story, and meaning of the picture.
