I feel that parents know their child better than I do so they might know more of what works and what doesn't. This saves a lot of trial and error time in finding out what works. By involving the parents in the plan, I feel that there is more of a team effort. But I do ask that the suggestions be realistic andloonyhikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378360383088143368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5472287208924187505.post-39569369322279832162011-10-18T11:29:39.929-04:002011-10-18T11:29:39.929-04:00We have a child in grade 2 and we really insist on...We have a child in grade 2 and we really insist on differentiated instruction. Over a month in to school and our child has actually regressed instead of improved.Alex | Perfecting Dadhttp://www.perfectingparenthood.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5472287208924187505.post-64431994827687573312011-10-18T06:43:28.556-04:002011-10-18T06:43:28.556-04:00@Devenblack Thanks for your response and the link ...@Devenblack Thanks for your response and the link to your other post. I think it worked for you because you had the right perspective and belief about how differentiated instruction should work. Unfortunately there are some that think it means what you stated - just teach differently and then wonder why it doesn't work.loonyhikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378360383088143368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5472287208924187505.post-28270362691309876952011-10-17T18:51:51.842-04:002011-10-17T18:51:51.842-04:00I don't disagree with anything you said in you...I don't disagree with anything you said in your response to my post as you might see from one of my other posts: http://educationontheplate.wordpress.com/2010/12/26/my-one-great-lesson-this-year/Deven Black (@devenkblack)http://educationontheplate.comnoreply@blogger.com
